LANCASHIRE GERMAN SHEPHERD RESCUE INFORMATION PAGES

Welcome to our Information Pages. You can find out how we began, details about dog washes, training, agility, k9 hydrotherapy etc. Throughout these pages you will also find links to various websites which we have found useful and links to “Big Names” such as Dogs Trust, The Kennel Club etc. Please browse the pages to see what you can find. If you find any links that are not working please contact us with the name of the link and the page you found it on as we are in the process of reorganising the information. If you have any comments or suggestions of what to include on the site please let us know. We ARE limited in the scope of what we can do with the format but please let us know if there is anything you would really like to see that we haven't thought of.

CONTACT US
--------------
There is a contact page on each part of the site but please do not use both as they are directed to the same email address. Please ensure your email address is correct and that you include a contact TELEPHONE NUMBER preferably a landline. In the subject line of the contact please tell us if you are in need of rehoming (REHOME) your dog or wish to adopt (ADOPT) with the name of the dog(s) you are interested in. We will then send you the appropriate forms and any further information you have requested by email (or post if you have used an internet café or library to access the website – please also include your full address and postcode if this is the case).

On this first page you will find current up to date news that maybe has hit the headlines, or events/places where will be having a stand. A weekly news from Director Ted (If we aren't too busy with taking in and rehoming the doggys that is). So watch this space for current events. The following pages may remain the same for a while as this is information that you may want to go back to for reference.

AUNTIE'S DOGGIE DAY CARE (ADDC)

We're often contacted by people who don't really want to give up their dogs but feel that it is their only option because full time working means there is no-one home for him/her during the day time.

Troy, who has recently come to us to find a new home, used to go to Auntie's Doggie Day Care and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was good for him to socialise with lots of other dogs and people.

I looked up their website and found that the facilities offered for just £12.50 a day appear to be outstanding! Not only are there indoor play areas with all sorts of toys and agility type equipment there is a large outdoor area - 2 1/2 acres of woodland no less! You can book your dog in for grooming too.

I know I've said JUST £12.50 a day and understand that this will be prohibitive to some because of their rates of pay but if you CAN afford it it is worth considering if you want to keep your best friend.....

For more information please see their website. ADDC is situated in Lostock Hall.

COLD NOSES DOG WALKING SERVICE

If Doggie Day Care doesn't appeal or you are home all day but can't walk your dog, how about a dog walking service?

We met Carolyn at one of Mark's Sunday training days and she told us of her dog walking service. If you would like to know more please use the link to go to her site.
