"Turn the world off, turn myself on" - "Turn Up The Radio"

Does anyone remember how or why rock 'n roll, one of the simplest and truest of life's pleasures, got so complicated? Sure, innovation is great and necessary, but what happened to three chords and the truth? What happened to fun?

"We're not trying to split the atom," says Die Trying vocalist Jassen. "We're not doing anything super-amazing. We're just a rock and roll band that loves what we do."

This could not be less evident on the Sacramento foursome's self-titled Island Records debut. Invoking the primary tenets of rock 'n roll (three chords, et al), Die Trying rocks with focus and abandon, balancing the chaos of catharsis and the precision of hungry resolve based on a bond forged from having nothing, yet…something.

2001: Jassen, a tattoo artist, is laying low after an eighth month stint with another local Sacramento band. Guitarist Jack needs a singer for his band and is essentially stalking Jassen after hearing his demo. After initial resistance, Jassen relents, impressed by Jack's persistence and heart. Nine months later, bassist Steve and drummer Matt, two guys whose ambition lined up with Jassen's and Jack's, join. A pact: "We're gonna die trying."

"That's our mentality," says Jassen. "None of us have shit. Half the band is homeless, as of now. We came from nothin' and we have this one passion, one goal. "Let's go play rock 'n roll. If we can get paid to do it, enough to pay for a hotel room that night and be able to eat tomorrow if we meet someone nice, wow…how cool is that?"

In Sacramento, like almost any scene, that's oversimplification. Getting gigs is about as easy as quantum physics. Die Trying's peers admonished them to pay dues, open shows, do their time; they'll eventually get to play. Reasonable, by conventional standards, but not according to Die Trying. Jassen breaks it down: "No. It takes songs and dedication and hard work. You need to play at least twice a week live and rehearse every day. And write songs every week, make 'em better and better and better."

"We're all down to work," says Steve. "When we're not practicing, we're trying to hustle stuff to make sure this band grow as effectively and as fast as possible. Don't give us idle time, 'cause we start freakin' out."

Hustle -- in Die Trying, it works on two levels. Level One: they do their legwork. If they didn't have anything to do one day, they found ten things to do, up to and including fliering in neighboring towns. Every cent the band made? Back into the promotional piggy bank. And they worked the phones: "Hey can we get a gig?" Level Two: when the chips were down and they couldn't get a gig…

"We'd hear about a show we liked," intimates Jassen, "and we'd just show up with all of our gear, start unloading. Most security guys, most roadies don't know one local band from another. You can walk into pretty much any show if you act like you own the joint." When promoters got wise, they danced. "We're Die Trying. What…we're not on the bill? 'Greg' said we're supposed to be on like, 8:00." And we'd give them puppy-dog eyes, "Dude…we just drove like, four hours. We're so broke. Can we open? Can we close? Come on." They saw the blood in our eyes and they'd warm up to that. I don't think we've ever been told no."

When they did get on stage… "It's all about the show," says Steve. "We don't wanna be that band that just plays music and doesn't get into it, but we don't wanna be the band that goes completely crazy and can't play. We have that great medium and we try to make sure everybody is havin' a great time…and we want their attention 100% on us."

It was this balance of songs and energy that earned Die Trying an on-the-spot deal with Island after a show with Papa Roach in Modesto. Unbeknownst to the band, Island A&R rep Paul Pontius was in attendance, piqued by a demo passed to him by Die Trying pal and P-Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix. "We just went onstage and rocked it," says Steve. "And when we walked off stage, Paul Pontius was there and he was like, "Let's not be stupid about this."

Die Trying, produced by Neal Avron (Everclear, New Found Glory) and mixed by Jay Baumgardner (Hoobastank, Papa Roach) is a hat trick, a distillation of the band's strong songs and potent presentation - a natural by-product of Die Trying's personal and creative alchemy as well as an intrinsic, insatiable musical appetite.

"Turn Up the Radio" betrays a Bob Mould vocal influence and a 90s alt-rock bent, guitars, drums and bass uniting to clamor with Jassen: "turn the world off/turn myself on/turn up the radio." "Dirty, Dirty" borrows from and answers the Waitresses 80s hit "I Know What Boys Like," Jassen's voice and Jack's guitar lusting in tandem. "Oxygen's Gone" beats Die Trying's contemporaries at their own game, doing anthemic, new-millennium rock better than the rest, and with more substance, articulating the suckerpunch reality of losing a loved one with stark, skittering verses and choruses that burst with emotion, emulating the sensation. "One Day at A Time" conjures Dramarama and The Used, somehow straddling the chasm that separates the references testament to a band having done its homework and implemented lessons learned.

Collectively, Die Trying has crafted an album that pretends nothing, with resonant peaks and valleys that could score anyone's life. If it's not splitting the atom, perhaps it's analogous to stem cell research, reaching backward to improve forward. Or maybe it's only rock 'n roll - why complicate it further?

"The record we made," says Jassen, "is the record I want to get played at the lake all summer long, that kids are makin' memories to. It's not gonna change the fuckin' face of rock 'n roll, not even close, man. We're just tryin' to have fun."

PAREDIM SHIFT consists of five members: Charlie Jacobs/ lead vocalist, Brian James/ lead guitarist and back up vocals, Dave McMillan/ drums, Nate Parker/ rhythm guitarist and back up vocals, and Brett Tumulak/ bass and back up vocals. The band has encountered much success and has had the fortune of sharing the stage with many other talented bands. Their experiences have helped shape the sound and stage performance that help define who the band is. As a group the five members consider themselves to be brothers.

The bands sound is a collaboration of many different influences and styles. The various plethora of sonic backgrounds include early 90's grunge bands like Nirvana and Sound Garden, heavier sounds like Metallica and Deftones, more funky eclectic sounds like Incubus and RHCP, and more recent nu-metal like Papa Roach, Dredg, and Korn. The overall mesh creates a heavy hitting and fast energetic rush of clean and morally uplifting hard rock.

The band has released two CD's in their three years of progress. The first, Typify (Feb. 2002), is paredim shift's first effort in the studio. Recorded at the soundfarm in Vacaville CA, it was their first taste of rigorous producing. The CD goes in depth about life, religion and the hardships that people go through, and also over coming obstacles and having a positive out look. The second , an EP entitled Clean Disease ( June 2003), displays the emotion and clarity that the first effort lacked. Recorded at the Pus Cavern in Sacramento CA, this CD goes through more issues of life, iner-struggle, war, and dysfunctional home life. Clean Disease has brought the band the most recognition and has turned the heads of many fans and business people alike.

Probably the most distinctive feature of the band is their incredible live show. High energy is an understatement when it comes down to performing. An explosion of movement and loud seamless sonic aggression. Having the privilege of sharing the stage with other acts such as Papa Roach, Dredg, and Fingertight to name a few, plus various talented local acts, has given the band confidence and fuel to add to the fire of performing. Every time they play they add something new to make it a different experience for both the audience and themselves.

The goal for the band in the years to come is to keep playing hard, and write new and better material for every CD they make. The band has high hopes and are confident in the possibility of signing to a major label. Expanding out ward and touring are in the immediate future. Los Angeles, Florida,....the world?.. possibly! As for now they bring it loud and hard to any stage they play on and will continue to give their all when they do.

the revoultion smiles

****The Early Origins Of The Revolution Smile****

The Revolution Smile was formed in march of 2K. The early stages of the band go back to the winter of '98/'99 when the Sacramento Immortal/Epic recording artist FAR played it's last show in November of '98. Guitarist Shaun Lopez feeling somewhat lost and not knowing what step to take next decided to take a bit of a break from rock and roll and experimented a bit in the world of sampling and making beats and even did a drum n bass remix for the Snapcase "designs for automation" cd. All the while Shaun continued to do other musical things like scoring indie films such as 42K and Black Friday from acclaimed director Darren Doane who is mostly know for his work on music videos for Blink 182 and Pennywise, and also the film Godmoney. Still with an undeniable interest in rock and roll he tried playing with new people including Tinfed, Walter Schreifels formerly of Quicksand, and even a brief stint of trying out for the Foo Fighters. After the Foo Fighters try out, Shaun then decided that the time had come to front his own band. His philosophy: Depend on no one. Make everything yourself. Enter late 1999 and the early stages of the songs began to develop. Shaun's knowledge and interest in the sampling/sequencing had begun to pay off in a new way. Shaun figured that anything he wanted a drummer to play he could make in the computer and would be a great way to write and experiment while the search for band members continued. Along the way he found Tim McCord formerly of the bands Double Think and Rings of Saturn. Shaun and Tim both seemed to share the same musical ideas. The bassist position was instantly filled. The duo then knew that in order to rock they needed a great drummer and wouldn't settle for less. A whole new level of patience was in order. Shaun knew that he didn't want to play flavor of the month music and wanted to make something from the heart that could hold up to any metal band but could also have pop sensibilities that would have you walk away humming the melodies. The duo then tried out a handful of drummers, placed ads all over town and ended up where they started. They found that trying to find a drummer that wanted to play rapless music in this age was not going to be an easy task. Enter March 2K. Guitarist Daniel C. formerly of the band Random enters the picture and he brings former Random drummer Mike W. with him and the band is complete. The band progresses at a rapid pace and plays it's first show after being together just a little over one month. With FAR still selling a good amount of records per week, the excitement about The Revolution Smile is immense. The Revolution begins.......Throw your fist up.

-Steve Woods

Recent History
After existing for awhile as a foursome, band members Daniel C. and Mike W. left the band. So as a duo once again, Shaun and Tim wrote new material as they looked for a new drummer. Soon enough they welcomed Jeremy White as their new drummer. The group then started to play shows once again as a trio, but soon decided that a second guitarist was needed. Tim decided to take this opportunity and moved over to playing guitar, which he preferred...this left the bass slot open. Once again trying out new bass players, they welcomed Octavio Gallardo into the band as the new bass player. Now with a steady line up the group is in the process of recording their next cd...due out this fall...

The Official Bio...
Out to save the world from the rapid deterioration of quality music, The Revolution Smile has emerged onto the Rock & Roll landscape with a vengeance. Hailing from Sacramento, California, The Revolution Smile has been gaining momentum since its inception in 2000. With its captivating blend of aggressive songwriting and unforgettable vocal melodies, the band has been able to play with a number of up and coming artists ranging from Project86 to Tinfed.

“At War with Plastic”, the band’s debut album, has received critical acclaim and is being spun on selected FM stations throughout the country. Chris Macias, pop columnist of the Sacramento Bee, nominating the album one of the year 2000’s best local efforts. The CMJ New Music Report Issue: 696 - Dec 25, 2000, features a review by Amy Sciarretto, "you'd swear Lopez downed a bottle of Jolt before sitting down to write the music. "The New Diet," "Orange" and "Plasticman" aren't metal, but they surely rock." -CMJ

While the album is a convincing testament to songwriting capabilities, their fuel injected live performances have been flooring audiences around the West Coast. Fronted by ex-Far (Immortal/Epic Recording artist) guitarist, Shaun Lopez, the band is rounded out by Tim McCord on guitar, Jeremy White on Drums, and Octavio Gallardo on bass.

Currently, the Revolution Smile is rocking throughout California while working on their upcoming cd scheduled for release in summer 2001. The band will be contributing the song Landmine Spring to "A Driven State" a tribute to Quicksand courtesy of End of the Circle Records. The compilation will feature other artists such as Glassjaw, Biohazard, Zebrahead, Simon Says and many more. The Revolution Smile will be on a compilation released by Sunset Alliance, along with the artists Fireside, Mock Orange, Cursive, The Jealous Sound, Rocket from the Crypt, defacto and many more. The Revolution has begun. You have been warned.

Payday

all along I was just faking it
and I'd do whatever just to be making it
all along I was just eating shit
and I'd do whatever just so I could make a hit

I'm a slave because it isn't like me
to be myself and live without a care

my day is payday
will they ever learn from me

All along I was their little bitch
and I'd do whatever just so i could be the rich
I'm as plastic as they ever come
but so are credit cards and they are worth more than some.

I'd sell my sould for a million one
It's better than just living for the fun
cuz I'll be their fortunate son
and that's when I know I've won

The New Diet

This couldn't be my lucky monday because I'm still breathing
I know I'm living overdue
So save me from myself because I'm sure there is nobody else
I know I could be so anew

It's raining
Im bored
Im a selfish animal

This couldn't be my lucky sunday because I'm still eating
Anorexia living in
So save me from myself because I'm sure I love nobody else
And I'm the king of filthy pig

Bane inside will live forever

Come Together

Coming all together is just like a memory living in my head
27 days of living like a certain way is not enough

Let's be thankful there's time
Cuz forever in a day it's mine
I don't want to burn you out some way
We've got to come together today

Everyone is better in a world that won't remember how to be ok today
I'm giving up on everything that never comes around again and it's killing me

We're coming all together

Plasticman

Could blame you for being near me now
I could blame you for eveything somehow
You're staring at me like someone that's faded
I don't care if you just think I'm jaded

I'm alone and I feel like I'm not real

Cuz if you ever wanted this to be
I'll try again and see what they will see

I could blame you because I'm failing fast
And I'm not too sure if I'll be coming back
So hold me in the palms of those who've hated
And we can sing along just like we're faded

One Percent

Out of the way is where I'll stay
I try to hide and keep away
Every other day is like the next one
Someday I'll be like the enemy

Ritual habitual

And I know I'm never gonna be like them
I think it's better in the end
Cuz half of what you are is all pretend
And I would rather be the 1%

I'm going away not gonna stay
The day to day is all but killing me
So here's to all the 1% that always try and don't regret
Cuz 47 days later they're gone

One percent

Orange

Sew my head against the wall with my mouth open
But in my head i see red when you lay open

Cuz if I'm going down
I'm gonna take you with me
Someday I will make you see
The way you treated me

And I gave myself away
I want you to cry for me

I'm glowing red
Pacify instead of killing
But in my head i see red when you lay open

Cuz if I'm going down
I'm gonna take you with me
Someday I will make you see
The way you treated me

And I gave myself away
I want you to cry for me
It's hard to talk with a gun in your mouth
How does it feel to be fucked over

Someday I will make you see
The way you treated me

So i can be like you
I don't want to be like you

The Gift

if anyone is feeling compromise
to make you feel like you are running in circles
if anyone is wanting big surprise
to make you feel like you killed boredom
this is what i give to you

and they make it so
enter the nominee
this is what i give to you

overdone feeling plastic eyes and ears
you feel like you are running in circles
overcome the big disguise
to make you kill the will for boredom
this is what i give to you

a bullet is what i give to you

Indiana Feeling

you're bleeding on something to better yourself
all alone
Im better than this. I feel special
Im sick of the role

because you're mixed up
you make yourself "so cool"
you can save me from
your sentimental cure

I wanted to be by myself now
Im sick of the role
you better believe that Im over
your everyday

because you're mixed up
you make yourself "so cool"
you can save me from
your sentimental cure
you're mixed up
you make me feel
exactly the way you want me to feel
you're mixed up
you make yourself "so cool"

Cadillac Ass

looking for something that's better than the one
looking for another way to hold on to my gun
I'll wait for another crime
because the boredom possesed all of mine

you make me
you won't break me

because it's better than to be the one that never wakes up

Im the picture of lonesome, my hand is on my gun
Im moved by the vision of giving to one
I'll wait for another crime
The boredom possesed all of my time

New Light

I've got a new light it's coming around
I've got a new light it's coming around
And I hate it when I say I don't want to be alone
And I hate it when I say that I'm angry

I'll wait but I wanted to give in
Forgive my love

I've got a new light it's coming and don't
Buy me a new wife I'm better alone
Forever late my discovery is that I'm dumb
And I'm waiting for that someone to take me

11.20.03 : Smokeout Update! What's up everyone! Things here at the studio are awesome, the guys have done most of the initial tracking, Jacoby has been doing vocals for about two weeks, last week we took a break and did rehearsals for the Smokeout, three new songs were premiered for those in attendance, "Just Go", "Done With You" & "Getting Away With Murder". Over all the show was great, Hatebreed, Superjoint Ritual, Body Count among others played great sets. It reminded us of doing a show in Amsterdam... All that weed makes the audience kind of mellow... Jacoby managed to get the energy level up with a couple of visits too the barricade... This just made everyone anxious to get back out on the road, so big thank you to everyone who came out to the show especially all the p-roach fans up front singin along showin their support!

10.13.03 : Drums Are Done! hey boys n grrls,
its day 6 of tracking, and i'm glad to say my part of the record is done!!! most of today was spent listening to the finished drum tracks (15 in all) and making sure they sound right, and that everyone in the band (and howard) are happy with them. next it was time to let the engineers set up to record guitar,so that gave us some time sit around and BS. the first song jerry was going to put down was "just go". i got to stick around and witness the professional at work for a few, but had to run out to dinner with my girl and her family.

i'll still be hangin out at the studio everyday to chip in my two cents.
keep checking in for more updates from me and the other knucklehedz soon.

09.24.03 : Pre-Production What's up, everyone, this is Jerry. Well, we are in our first week of pre-production, and it's going pretty well so far. We have our occasional fight, but other than that, it's all good. Our producer, Howard Benson is giving us some good feedback on the songs, and helping to get the finishing touches on them. We have about 16 songs total, 12 or 13 of which will be going on the record. Greg and I will be working artwork with help from Dave, so I am excited about that almost as much as I am about the songs. I can't wait for you guys to hear these songs. Hopefully you won't hear them until the record is out. We will probably be putting snippets up on the site, so keep checking back. Alright, well, I'm gonna get off of here. Until next time.

08.14.03 : studio update
Hey, everybody. Jerry here, doing a little update. We have just been writing songs like crazy for the past 2 months, and we are getting pretty close to being ready for the studio. We have about 13 songs finished with vocals, 10 more songs finished musically, and about 10 more ideas for songs we haven't even explored yet. We are all really excited about this record, and hope you guys like it as much as we will. Well, I guess that isn't really anything new and exciting, but I just wanted to get something up to let you know that we are still pluggin away. As you may know, our target date for release is around March. On a side note, I went and bought THRICE's new record today, and I love it! I know it has been out for a while, but we have been so busy, I haven't been checkin out new records. You guys should definitely pick it up. You should also get Die Trying's record, and Alien Ant Farm's record when it comes out. Ok, I'm outta here. Talk to you guys soon.

07.29.03 : New Studio Video
New Studio Video in the MEDIA section, this time check out the practice spot where the guys are working on some new stuff.

07.05.03 : Studio
Hey guys, It's been a while since I have posted anything, so here goes. As most of you know we are working on writing songs, and doing sort of a pre-pre-production. That just means recording stuff on our Pro Tools at home, and refining songs, to get them as close to finished and polished as we can. Mostly, we have been recording the music over at Dave's house, and I usually go to Jacoby's house to record vocals, or he comes to my house. We just decided to start getting together and jam out some songs, to change things up a little, and to practice the songs we have recorded. I am really stoked about the stuff we have so far. The range of styles is even wider than LHT. That's not to say that the record will be that way. Some of the songs will probably just end up as exercises, just to see if we can do a certain thing with a song, and make it sound good. I suppose that is a little vague, but its the best way I can describe it. Well, enough of my ramblings. Talk to you guys later.

06.04.03 : Welcome to the (new) Album!
After several months working in the cramped back lounge of a tour bus, tracking bits and pieces of songs Papa Roach have began work on the new record!

As of late the guys have been taking meetings with producers flying back and fourth from Sacramento to LA trying to find that special someone to help bring the new record to life. At the current time there are roughly 7 songs done with names like “Not Listening”, “Getting Away With Murder”, & “My Beautiful Mistake” and several others with no lyrics or names yet.

Most of the recording has been going on in 4 home studios (one in each of the guys houses), Dave, Jerry, & Tobin get together 4-5 days a week and work together on structure and developing song ideas. Once a song is pretty far along Jacoby will lend his ideas in terms of how vocals will fit. At this point the song is fine tuned and then sent home with Jacoby so he can add vocals. During the days that they arent all working at Dave’s house everyone is usually working alone at home on new song ideas, so pretty much everyone is working 7 days a week. And it all sounds awesome! So far from what I can tell the songs sound like they would have been the record between Infest & LoveHateTragedy, but at the same time a sound all their own.

Be sure to check back often for Video Clips and Audio updates of the new stuff.

****M-80 [explosive energy movement]****

this music is my time
to reel out and rewind
i'll be brutal with truth
i'd rather be honest with my soul
be the pile of trash
a bum picks through to get a bite to eat
i'm filthy
i'm horny
i'm dirty nasty dirty

i'm strong and fearless
only 'cause i got rock 'n' roll
i'm knee-deep in our blood
only 'cause i got rock 'n' roll

c'mon
baby c'mon
yeah
baby c'mon
break it

crazier than i ever was
i'm bloodied up i beat my skull in
comin' home in a body bag
and i'm ready to die for rock 'n' roll
i can't change the world
i can only change myself
i'm as sharp as a knife
as high as a kite
demented as the night is long

i'm not sheddin' a tear
i'm blowin' some steam
stuck in between
living a dream

baby c'mon

****Infest****
My name's Coby Dick
Mr. Dick if your nasty
Rock a mic with a voice that's raspy
'Cause I'm poetic in my operations
My God given talent is to rock all the nations

Infest, the theory of my first manifesto
Push ya wig back with my Lyrical pistol
Blow now Papa Roach is on your mental
Bangin' like your head piece
it's just that simple
Cock back and unleash with my physical
Wrap you in my thoughts
and become indivisble
Centrifugal forces individuals into my mind
As we rock into ritual

PRE-CHORUS:

You better do just what we say
And if you don't then you'll pay

CHORUS:
We're going to infest
We're getting in your head
What is wrong with the world today
The government, media, or your family

Now, that i got your attention
Did I forget to mention
All the head we be INFESTING
Hope ya'll people learn your leason
'Cause the game of life is crazy
Got all the people guessin'
What is wrong with the world today
The government, media, or your family
Would you cry if i died today
I think it you be better if you did not say

PRE-CHORUS
CHORUS

First, they shackle your feet
Then they stand you in a line
Then they beat you like meat
Then they grab you by your mind

We will infest, die like the rest
People are the problem today

CHORUS

Broken home
All alone
I can't seem to fight these feelings
I'm caught in the middle of this
And my wounds are not healing
I'm stuck in between my parents
I wish I had someone to talk to
Someone I could confide in
I just want to know the truth
I just want to know the truth
Want to know the truth

Broken home
All alone
I know my mother loves me
but does my father even care
If I'm sad or angry
you were never ever there
when I needed you
I hope you regret what you did
I think I know the truth
Your father did the same to you

I'm crying day and night now
whats wrong with me
I cannot fight now
I feel like a weak link

Push it back inside
It feels bad to be alone
Crying by yourself living in a broken home
How couldI tell it So all y'all could feel it
Depression strikes hard like my old earth
Would tell it
To her son she told me I'm the one
Pain bottled up about to blow like a gun
Stories that I tell are nonfiction
And you can take it back
Cause it's already done

Dead Cell
Born with no soul
lack of control
cut from the mold of the anti-social
plug them in and turn them on
process the data, make yourself the bomb
What is your target, what is your reason
Do you have emotions, is your heart freezin'
Seizing the opportunity to speak
Ya didn't say nothin' but turn your fuckin' cheek
Dead Cell, Dead Cell

Sick in the head
living but dead
Hear What i said
Learn a leason from the almight dreed
Jah, nutty warrior nothing's scarier
Kids are getting sick like Malaria
Situation get harrier
throwing up all types of barriers
I'm telling ya the kids are getting singled out
Let me hear the dead cell shout

Dead Cell, Dead Cell

CHORUS:
Born with no soul, lack of control
cut from the mold of the anti-social
plug them in and turn them on
process the data, make yourself the bomb

Stop pointing fingers 'cause we are the guilty
Of clean cut lies, and a truth that's filthy

Believe what is the root of the word
Out comes lie when it's cut into thirds
I don't believe what my eyes behold, no
I don't believe what my ears are told, no
Seizin' this opportunity to speak
I'm saying something
Don't turn your fuckin' cheek

Dead Cell, Dead Cell

CHORUS

Between Angels and Insects
There's no money
There's no possessions
Only obsessions
I dont need that shit
Take my money
Take my obsession

I just wanna be heard
Loud and clear are my words
Coming from within
Man, tell 'em what you heard
It's about a revolution in your heart
And in your mind
You cant find the conclusion
Lifestyle and obsession
Daimond rings get you nothing
But a life-long lesson
And you're pocket book stressin'
You're a slave to the system
Working jobs that you hate
For that shit you dont need
It's too bad the world is based on greed
Step back and stop thinking 'bout yourself
Start thinking about

CHORUS:
There's no money, There's no possession
Only obsession, I dont need that shit
Take my money, Take my possesions
Take my obsession, I dont need that shit

'Cause everything is nothing
And emptiness is in everything
This reality is just really just a fucked up dream
With the flesh and the blood
That you call your soul
Flip it inside out, it's a big black hole
Take your money, burn it up like an asteroid
Possessions they are never gonna fill the void
Take it away and learn the best lesson
The heart, the soul, the life, the passion

CHORUS

Present yourself, press your clothes
Comb your hair and clock in
You just can't win, just can't win
The things you own, own you

fuck your money
fuck your posession
fuck your obsession
i don't need that shit
fuck your money
fuck your posession
fuck your obsession
i don't need that shit

CHORUS

Last Resort
Cut my life into pieces
This is my last resort,
Suffocation no breathing
Don't give a fuck if I cut my arm bleeding

This is my last resort

Cut my life into pieces
I've reached my last resort,
Suffocation no breathing
Don't give a fuck if I cut my arm bleeding
Do you even care if I die pleading
Would it be wrong, would it be right
If I took my life tonight,
Chances are that I might
Mudilation outa sight
and I'm contimplating suicide

CHORUS:
'Cause I'm losing my sight, losing my mind
Wish somebody would tell me I'm fine
Nothing's alright, nothing is fine
I'm running and I'm crying

I never realized I was spread too thin
Till it was too late and I was empty within
Hungry, feeding on my chaos and living in sin
Downward spiral, where do i begin
It all started when i lost my mother
No love for myself and no love for another
Searching to find a love upon a higher level
finding nothing but QUESTIONS AND DEVILS

CHORUS

I can't go on living this way
Repeat First Verse

CHORUS

Legacy
Dead president, fuck the president
Mansons strive for power while I work to save my residents
he owns you even though he never told you
mark of the beast on ya hand now he owns you
thrown down to the bottom level
ruled by the fist and the fist is the devil
I medamorphisize and make myself level
we are the future we are right now right now
I'm taking a stab at the sick, sick, sick
I know what evil is and evil could suck my dick
like sam hain and god ain't no joke
ya better watch ya neck cause ya might get choked
I'm dodgin arrows from the dark side everyday
and I'm a main target cause of what I say
I'm dodgin arrows from the dark side everyday
you sink we swim we rise you fall we met our fate together
I was here from the start and I'll be here in the end legacy
legacy
legacy
legacy

Blood Brothers
Watch your back because the next man is comin'
And you don't know if the next man is dumbin'
Survival of the fittest what it is
I got yo back, you got my back and that's the biz
Blood is rushing through my veins
I got the power, channel the energy
And with my strength I will devour
Sickening thoughts are running through my head
Thats when I realize I'm glad im not dead

Corruption and abuse, the salesman of our blood
For the public's craving, existence in the dark

CHORUS:
It's in our nature to destroy ourselves
It's in our nature to kill ourselves
It's in our nature to kill each other
It's in our nature to kill, kill, kill

It was a dream and then it hit me, reality struck
And now my life is all shifty and it all moves fast
Close to buck 50 and we all stand strong
In respect to the family in the times of our insanity
And through the words of profanity
I describe our dysfunctional family
Blood brothers keep it real to the end

Deeper to the thoughts that you think, not a trend

Corruption and abuse, the salesman of our blood
For the public's craving, existence in the dark

CHORUS

Corruption and abuse, the salesman of our blood
For the public's craving, existence in the dark

CHORUS

Revenge
Remember the girl
Abused with forks, knives, and razor blades?
Remember the girl
Abused with forks, knives, and razor blades?
She finally left him
Had enough of her man's rage
Band-aids covered her scars she left him bloodied
Beat his ass with a bat
Face sunk in like silly putty
Y'all can sit back so I could study
Destruction of the family design
And how the morals of society decline
Essentially it’s beats to rhyme like grapes to wine

CHORUS:
It's alright
We're in love
Can't live with
Or without

You see she can't live with him
And can't live without him
Stress got her down she need to deal with the problem
As the drama gets deeper
I puff on the reefer
Took the last step and sent his ass to the reaper
Chaos, is what she saw in the mirror
Scared of herself and the power that was in her
It took over
And weighed heavy on her shoulder
Militant insanity is now what controlled her

CHORUS:
It's alright
We're in love
Can't live with
Or without
It's alright
We're in love
Can't live with
Or without

We’re in love
We’re in love

Kill it before it reaches you
Missiles won't work it's approaching the mainland
What if it reaches the metropolitan areas?
Cosmopolitan areas
Secure the lines and prepare for departure
Calm, calm, calm,
It is a, a big business
And seems to be
Advancing underground
Cuz my style yo, is underground
I'm green
With my red eyes mad tint
Flea fly flo
Rapido, rapido
She feed plentiful
Electrifying the nation
Electrifying the nation!

Don't you see that we’re in danger?
How will we stop it?
She is attacking
Don't you see that we are in danger?
How will we stop it?
She is attacking

Sucka!
Danger danger!
Sucka!
Danger danger!
Sucka!
Danger danger!
Sucka!
Danger danger!

Running out
We’re running out
(Running out of time)
Running out
We’re running out
(Running out of time)
Running out
We’re running out
(Running out of time)
Running out
We’re running out

CHORUS

Snakes
I got a problem with the snakes that are crawlin'
Through my area when the darkness has fallen
And Momma told me that they love to bite
They stab you in the back no shame that's right, what, what
I keep my distance cuz they're makin' me crazy
Stealin' from me, you know those fuckers are lazy
My blood boils, fat turns to oil
Step the fuck back or you'll get buried in soil
Over drama, or you could sleep with the fishes
My clutches are tight and I'll take your last wishes
One for your money
Two for your girl
Three for your life
Now I fucked up your world

CHORUS:
Do you like how it feels
To be bit in the neck by the snake that kills?
Do you know how it feels to be stabbed in the back then watch
the blood spill?
I don't like how it feels check it!
Do you know how it feels to be stabbed in the back then watch
the blood spill?
Break it down

Yo, it's kinda funny how you're runnin your mouth man
You're caught in a lie and then there's no way out, come on
Betray your friends and your peeps and your family
Livin like a snake Livin like a bloody thief
Check my speech cuz it's deep like the sea
From me to y’all, and then from y’all back to me, Ha!
Danger danger, slay snakes like a ranger
Military style fears god not a stranger
Now tell me, tell me who's crew’s sicker?
Mine's sicker, get on your knees you be a dick licker

One for your money
Two for your girl
Three for your life
Now I fucked up your world
Check it!

CHORUS:
Do you like how it feels
To be bit in the neck by the snake that kills?
Do you know how it feels to be stabbed in the back then watch
the blood spill?
I don't like how it feels, check it
Do you know how it feels to be stabbed in the back then watch
the blood spill?

Do you like how it feels?
I don’t like how it feels!

I don't like it
I don't want it
I don't need it
I don't like it
I don't want it
I don't need it
What the fuck is up?

CHORUS:

I don’t like how it feels
to be bit in the neck by the snake that kills
By the snake that kills
By the snake that kills

Never Enough
Life’s been sucked out of me
And this routine’s killing me
I did it to myself
Again I said this would not be
Somebody put me out of my misery
Expression, stimulation
Hollow sense of myself
I did it to myself again
Somebody put me in my place

CHORUS:
Never enough, Never enough
Do I deserve what I got?

Now everything’s okay
There’s nothing wrong with me
This seems unnatural
To me I’d say in every way
Somebody kick me in the face
Now something’s wrong with me
I’m bleeding profusely
And this seems natural
To me I fuck up everyday
Somebody put me in my place

CHORUS:
Never enough, Never enough
Do I deserve what I got?
Never enough, Never enough
Do I deserve what I got?
What I got, what I got
What I got, what I got

I feel as if I’m running
Back to where I started
You ask what's wrong with me
And I say nothing
Is everything okay?
Is something wrong with me?
Pushing and pulling feelings
Eternal my heart is yours
I feel as if I’m running
I feel as if I’m running
I feel as if I’m running
RUN!
Life will knock me down!

CHORUS

Binge
You better put that down
You better put that down

All I need is a bottle
And I don't need no friends, no
Wallow in my pain
I swallow as I pretend
To act like I'm happy
When I drink till no end, no
I'm losing all my friends
I'm losing in the end
And she says

Behave little boy
You better sit back down
Till you hold your ground
It’s your turn to learn to fight
You better sit back down
Till you hold your ground

When I’m sober life bores me
So I get drunk again, yeah
I’m losing all my friends
I’m losing in the end
She says,

CHORUS:
Behave little boy
You better sit back down
Till you hold your ground
It's your turn to learn to fight
You better sit back down
Till you hold your ground
YEAH!

You better sit back down
You better put that down
Put the bottle down
I am on a binge

CHORUS:
Behave little boy
You better sit back down
Till you hold your ground
It's your turn to learn to fight
You better sit back down
Till you hold your ground
YEAH!

I am on a binge
I wish things would change
Wish they’d rearrange
I’m on a binge
I wish things would change
Wish they’d rearrange
I am on a binge
I’m on a binge
Yeah, Yeah

Thrown Away
I kill the rhyme again
I'm coming sick and on time again
Words manifest from deep inside where people hide within
It's chemical unbalanced on the triple beam, what?
Fuck what you heard it's about what I seen
I seen it happen back hand brand to face smackin
Definite disorder now his mindset is blackened
The doctors say he got the brain of a murderer
This rugged style steals your brain

CHORUS:
My heart is bleeding and this pain will not pass
It's not receding and my body's going numb
A bad trip child rolling stoned keeping high
He don't know what he's doing he just keep getting by
Thrown away
I want to be thrown away

He's born sick nothing in his hands but his dick
He couldn't handle pressure he couldn't handle shit
For the life he was leading led him down the wrong path
Where guns blast don't give a shit about the gods wrath
Don't want to talk to the counselor Doctor
To tell'em what real to tell'em what's proper
The situations unclear like gray and I know it gets worse
everyday

CHORUS:
My heart is bleeding and this pain will not pass
It's not receding and my body's going numb
A bad trip child rolling stoned keeping high
He don't know what he's doing he just keep getting by way
Thrown away
I want to be thrown away

I am a mess I've made a huge mess I can't control myself
I'm losing it I've lost it I've spilt all my marbles

cause I see you inside of me sometimes I want to be thrown away
cause I see you inside of me sometimes I want to be thrown away
a hyper spaz and that is me sometimes I want to be thrown away
Thrown Away! Thrown Away! Thrown Away! Thrown Away!
Thrown Away! Thrown Away! Thrown Away! Thrown Away!
Voices in my head, voices in my head
Don't tell me to do it cause I will, NO!
Don't tell me to do it cause I will, NO!
Last Remain! Last Remain! Last Remain!

****She Loves Me Not****
****Music by: Tobin E.****
****Lyrics by: Jacoby S.****

when i see her eyes
look into my eyes
then i realize that
she could see inside my head
so i close my eyes
thinking that i could hide
disassociate so i don't have to lose my head
this situation leads to agitation
will she cut me off?
will this be amputation?

i don't know if i care
i'm the jerk
life's not fair

fighting all the time
this is out of line
she loves me not
do you realize I won't compromise
she loves me not

over the past five years
i have shed my tears
i have drank my beers and watched my fears fly away
until this day
she still swings my way
but it's sad to say sometimes
she says she loves me not
i hesitate
to tell her i hate
this relationship
i want out today
this is over

line for line
rhyme for rhyme
sometimes we be fightin' all the goddamn time -it's making me sick
relationship is getting ill
piss drunk stupid
mad
on the real
could you feel what I feel
what's the deal girl
we're tearing up each other's world
we should be in harmony
boy and girl
that is the promise we made
back in the day
we told each other things wouldn't be this way
i think we should work this out
it's all right baby we can scream and shout

life's not fair

i'm the jerk

she loves me not
