We are very proud to the ONLY breeder of Desert Lynx and Snow Bob's in the U.K.
Our ultimate aim is to have these cats as a recognised breed in this country, However that is a long way off at the moment!
These are not your average run of the mill feline, They are more, much more, They have an air about them, The first time I saw one was a picture on a web site in America, from that moment I wanted one, in fact not just one the exact one in the picture! Now trying to explain this to the lady in Kansas that I wanted to buy her Desert Lynx and that I lived here in the UK was an experience, At first she thought that I was winding her up! Then she began to realise that I was serious, we chatted everyday via e mail. Eventually she agreed that I could buy Jazzman - Bronze Spotted, I also had Evie - Snow Spotted and Ruby- Charcoal Clouded from her! Then she put me onto a friend of her's who also had Desert Lynx but were not related, It was from Stacey that I had Waylon - Blue Ghost Leopard Spot and Tribal- Blue Tortie Snow Bob.
I have copies of REFR Breed Standard for the Desert Lynx and Snow Bob should anyone want one, Also a brief guide to the history of this magnificent breed. Although it is said that the history of this breed is decendant from the native American Bob cat - ALL D.N.A resting for the last 3 generations has proved there is NO link to the wild Bob Cat. This is a New breed of cat that is still in its infancy - It has only been around a decade in America, and over here for the Last 5 years, The foundation stock for this breed is PixieBob, Bengal, and American Bob Tail.
Recently I have been lucky enough to have been offered Anson Road Narla Warla - an ABSOLUTELY stunning PixieBob Queen who will bring in fresh lines to my cattery, Narla will be joining us in a couple of weeks. My thanks to Gertrud, for making this possible.
